Happy Ending

By the end of August, Texas' people had the glorious opportunity to taste Blue Bell Ice Cream for the first time in four months; by personal experience I know how much everyone missed these treats and we were all very exited to have them back. I personally went that same day to my local grocery and bought two half gallons of ice cream. I could see everyone with a smile on their face while they patiently waited in line to get their Blue Bell fix.

2015 Recall

Unfortunately, in 2015, the company issued a voluntary recall on an assortment of items produced at its creameries, due to the discovery of five cases of listeriosis in Kansas believed to be caused by products from the Broken Arrow, Oklahoma creamery. Three of the five patients with listeria died, possibly due to the infection. Blue Bell then expanded the recall covering all of its products, a recall of over eight million gallons, to be disposed of into a sanitary landfill. Because of this, Blue Bell laid off 37% of its workers in May 2015.[31] They also announced that another 1,400 would be temporarily furloughed until the clean-up is finished. The remaining employees, who are essential to the clean-up effort, also had wage reductions imposed on them.

Blue Bell History

Blue Bell Creameries is an American food company that manufactures ice cream. It was founded in 1907 in Brenham, Texas. Blue Bell Creameries started by manufacturing butter, but at some point they realized that making ice cream would make everyone happier. Blue Bell distributes their ice creams to 23 states in North America, and also 27 other countries. How awesome is that? a Texan product providing happiness
to 50 different places in the world? AMAZING.

Blue Bell Introduction

Hello everyone, I am Veronica Alvarado and I moved from Venezuela five years ago. I have always had an interest for food, specially sweet foods, therefore when I came to this country I discovered many new things that I had not tried before in my country. Some of them I liked, some of them I did not, but some of them I LOVED. I now will be talking about my passion for Blue Bell Ice Cream; of course I have tried ice cream before, but none of those compare to the deliciousness of these Texas native ice creams. I chose to talk about Blue Bell Ice Creams because I believe it is important to know about the things that you like the most.
